Principal Cornet

We are currently looking to fill our Principal Cornet chair and would like to hear from anyone interested. Tyldesley Band has been a proud home to many cornet players over the years who have once filled the top chair and moved on to highly successful bands. We are lucky to have Robert Taylor in the middle and Brian Taylor of Faireys band as our assistant conductor, a combination we feel nurtures great brass playing talent.

As a contesting band we like to think we offer a challenging seat. Some of our principal cornet players have gone on to further their playing careers at such bands as Faireys, Dyke, Grimethorpe, Brighouse, Pemberton and the Halle Orchestra.
