Principal Cornet

At Tyldesley Band we are looking to fill the Principal Cornet chair, and would like to hear from anyone interested in this position.
Tyldesley Band has been a proud home to many cornet players over its history, where former Principals have gone on to highly successful bands.

As a regularly contesting band, we offer a challenging seat, a seat where former members have progessed their playing careers to such bands as Black Dyke, Fairey, Grimethorpe, Pemberton, the TA Band and many more.

Back Row Cornet

We have a vacancy on the Back Row at Tyldesley Band. Position to suit ability. All enquiries are treated in the strictest of confidence.

Percussion - Tuned

We have a vacancy within the Percussion section of Tyldesley Band. This position is flexible with regards to other commitments, however the band enter a number of contests over the year where regular attendance would be required. Kit experience would also be ideal but not essential. All enquiries treated in the strictest of confidence.

Where We Are

The band room is located in the Chapel Building on Milk Street, Tyldesley - 5 minutes from the A580 East Lancashire Road and 10 minutes from junctions 4 & 5 of the M61.

We rehearse 20:00 - 22:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. Any players are welcome to come down to rehearsals, however please contact the Band Manager or Musical Director before coming down.
